Pahoa-Town has practically been in the obituaries lately. Tourists are under the impression that we're devastated, while local business stay open and are running as usual and wanting customers. Since the flow hasn't hit any major roads yet, access to Pahoa is wide open. Wish you were here? You bet you do. The farmers markets are full of locally grown fruits and vegetables, honey, locally made goat cheeses and soaps. Incredibly talented artists abound here that make and sell their wares. Pahoa is known for its fantastic restaurants.
The lava is now breaking out well above Pahoa and creeping and oozing in State Forest land. If we're allowed to go see it by Civil Defense, I want to be one of the first. It's simply amazing to watch.
